In Modem is er een mogelijke systeemcrash als gevolg van een logische fout. Dit kan leiden tot denial of service op afstand, als een UE verbinding heeft gemaakt met een frauduleus basisstation dat door de aanvaller wordt beheerd, zonder dat er extra uitvoeringsrechten nodig zijn.
