In GetHostAddress van gxp_buffer.h is er een mogelijk buiten bereik schrijven als gevolg van een onjuiste grenscontrole. Dit kan leiden tot lokale escalatie van privileges zonder dat er extra uitvoerende privileges nodig zijn. Gebruikersinteractie is niet nodig voor exploitatie.
