De Shibboleth-authenticatieplugin in auth/shibboleth/index.php in Moodle tot en met versie 2.3.11, 2.4.x vóór 2.4.11 en 2.5.x vóór 2.5.7 controleert niet of een sessie-ID leeg is. Hierdoor kunnen externe geauthenticeerde gebruikers sessies kapen via een speciaal geconstrueerde interactie met de plugin.
