Met OpenStack Compute (Nova) Grizzly, Folsom (2012.2) en Essex (2012.1) kunnen op afstand geverifieerde gebruikers in opportunistische omstandigheden toegang krijgen tot een VM door het VNC-token te gebruiken voor een verwijderde VM die aan dezelfde VNC-poort was gebonden.
