Kwetsbaarheid van formatstring in de functie print_proxies in bin/proxy.c in libproxy 0.3.1 kan contextafhankelijke aanvallers in staat stellen een denial of service (crash) te veroorzaken en mogelijk willekeurige code uit te voeren via formatstring-specificaties in een proxy-naam, zoals aangetoond met behulp van de omgevingsvariabele http_proxy of een PAC-bestand.
