De MSCOMCTL-bibliotheek in Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, 2010 SP1 en SP2 en 2013 Gold, SP1, RT en RT SP1 maakt het voor externe aanvallers gemakkelijker om het ASLR-beveiligingsmechanisme te omzeilen via een vervaardigde website, zoals geëxploiteerd in het wild in mei 2014, ook bekend als "MSCOMCTL ASLR-kwetsbaarheid".
