Raceconditie in arch/x86/kvm/x86.c in de Linux-kernel vóór 3.17.4 stelt gastbesturingssysteemgebruikers in staat om een denial of service (crash van het gastbesturingssysteem) te veroorzaken via een vervaardigde applicatie die een MMIO-transactie of een PIO-transactie uitvoert om een gastgebruikersruimte-emulatiefoutrapport te activeren, een soortgelijk probleem als CVE-2010-5313.
